What is a 24 hour patch test?

Updated: Aug 18, 2020

Before using a large amount of any new product on your skin, it is best to make sure they will 'get along' first. A patch test is designed to make sure that any new product applied to your skin won't harm you or cause irritation. At //BYNAT we always recommend undertaking a 24 hour patch test for all our products to determine if there may be any issues with it before normal usage. The simple steps for a 24 hour patch test are as follows: 1. Apply a very small amount to a semi- sensitive area such as inside of forearm or inner thigh.

2. Cover area with a bandaid and leave for 24 hours. 4. Remove bandaid and check for any irritations/ reactions.

5a. If any small irritations/ reactions have appeared please contact info@bynat.com.au and we might be able to determine what the minor issue may be. Alternatively, if you are concerned or present with a more prominent reaction seek further medical advice- this product may not be for you.

5b. If all clear- continue to use as per usage guides!
